Before Your Appointment

Preparing your skin correctly ensures the most beautiful, natural-looking result.

Exfoliate

Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your appointment using an oil-free scrub or exfoliating mitt. Pay extra attention to dry areas such as elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists.

Hair Removal

Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to allow pores to close and prevent irritation.

Avoid Products

On the day of your appointment, arrive with clean, product-free skin. Avoid lotions, oils, deodorant, perfume, and makeup, as these can create a barrier that prevents the solution from developing evenly.

What to Wear

Wear loose, dark clothing and open-toe shoes. Tight clothing may rub against the developing tan.

During Your Tan

Clients may wear whatever they feel comfortable in during the service—underwear, a swimsuit, or nothing at all for the most seamless result. Disposable garments are available if preferred.

After Your Appointment

Your tan will continue developing after your session. Proper care ensures an even, long-lasting glow.

While Your Tan Is Developing

Avoid water, sweating, workouts, and tight clothing until your first rinse. Loose clothing is best while the solution develops.

Your First Rinse

Your first rinse should be 4–12 hours after your appointment, depending on the solution used.

When rinsing:
• Use warm water only
• Do not use soap during the first rinse
• Gently rinse until the cosmetic bronzer washes away

Your tan will continue to deepen over the next several hours.

Maintaining Your Tan

To extend the life of your tan:

• Moisturize daily with an oil-free lotion
• Avoid long baths, hot tubs, and chlorinated pools
• Limit exfoliation and harsh skincare products

Most airbrush tans last 5–10 days with proper care.
